Case Study

Zappar had been asked by 7-Eleven to deliver four, exclusive in-app experiences centred
around the movie Detective Pikachu (a Warner Bros. production). The task of creating a Detective Pikachu themed interactive experience menu map to sit within the 7Rewards app. As members of the Ryme City ‘Neighbourhood Watch,’ users can to track their progress through all 4 experiences live as they go on the hunt for the 7 missing Pokémon to win prizes and 7Rewards.

To conclude, constructing the UX  and designing UI was a complex problem to solve throughout the duration of this project. The sprints were tight, and most design decisions needed to be correct the first time around. The approach to the design was largely a success. As a team, we nailed the aesthetics of the user experience and tailored our approach to the needs of the brief. The Detective Pikachu campaign was also a Clio Entertainment Bronze Winner. The Campaign was advertised across US television, and the experience engaged millions of users and to date is one of my favourite briefs!
